Golden Fig Lemonade Popsicle Recipe

Here’s the scoop—popsicles don’t require expensive equipment and with a few simple tools and time, you can make homemade lemonade popsicles. Featuring our Orchard Choice and Sun-Maid California Dried Golden Figs, our golden fig lemonade popsicle recipe is an easy way to cool off in the summer.

Drink or Freeze

It all starts with golden fig lemonade. You could stir in some iced tea for an orchard twist on the classic Arnold Palmer drink. For happy hour, make our Golden Fig Pimm’s and Lemonade, an easy at-home craft cocktail. Or, make this popsicle recipe, pouring into molds and freezing.

Lemonade popsicles feature the mild nutty sweetness of our California Dried Golden Figs. Their color, especially paired with yellow lemons keeps these pops sunny. You can always use our California Mission Black Dried Figs too.

Sweet Sipping

Here’s another idea too for summer drinks. Once your pops have frozen, they’re like a giant lemonade ice cube and are perfect for dunking into carbonated water—we like cherry or strawberry fizzy water for a fizzy cherry lemonade that is just sweet enough.

What You’ll Need

The only tools necessary to make homemade pops at home are minimal. We like the convenience of a liquid measuring cup with a spout for smooth pouring. There are so many kinds of popsicle molds on the market—round cylinders, wide flat paddles, even push-up pop receptacles. Use whatever style you prefer or have access to for this lemonade popsicle recipe. Then, the final tool is popsicle sticks.

A Final Note

Popsicles really just require the patience for them to firm up in the freezer, but another kind of patience comes into play here too. You might think to poke the popsicle sticks in after you’ve poured in the liquid, but the sticks can bob in the lemonade and not be straight up. If you have the kind of popsicle mold that has a lid through which the sticks go into, if the sticks go akimbo, that lid can be near impossible to remove. A simple trick here then. Let the popsicles freeze for about an hour for larger molds and they should have set up a bit, making it easier for the sticks to stay in place and completely freeze into the pops.
