Valley Fig Growers is Closing on July 31, 2026.
After 67 years of service to our customers, we have made the difficult decision to close Valley Fig Growers. This was not an easy choice and came only after careful consideration of all possible options. Despite our best efforts, the economics can no longer support continued operations due to challenging market conditions and rising operational costs.
We are incredibly grateful for the trust and support you have shown us throughout the years. Your loyalty and patronage have meant more to us than we can adequately express. It has been a privilege to serve you and to be part of your business.
What this means for you
- All outstanding orders will be fulfilled through July 31, 2026, subject to product
availability and any mutually agreed adjustments; - New orders that are floor-stock specification in nature may be shipped through July 31, 2026, depending on existing inventory; and
- Our customer service team will remain available through July 31, 2026 to assist with questions regarding orders, invoicing, credits, and returns.
Product returns and credits (Return Merchandise Authorization required)
To ensure an orderly wind-down and accurate accounting, Valley Fig Growers will process returns for any non-conforming products only in accordance with the procedure below:
- Request an RMA before shipping. Please contact Customer Service at 559-237-3893, ext. 100 (or email info@valleyfig.com) to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Returns shipped without an RMA may be refused or delayed.
- Provide required information. When requesting an RMA, please provide:
- Customer name and ship-from location;
- Invoice number(s) and purchase order number(s);
- Item number(s), lot code(s), quantity to be returned, and reason for return; and
- Photos (if the return relates to damage, defect, or quality concerns).
- Return eligibility and condition.
- Products must be in (unopened/original) packaging and in resalable condition unless the return is due to confirmed quality issues.
- Returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.
- The following are not eligible for return unless required by law or expressly
authorized in writing: custom/private label items, special-order items, expired product, and product held outside recommended storage conditions.
- Return shipping instructions.
- Once approved, we will provide the return ship-to address and routing
instructions. - Freight responsibility will be customer prepaid or Valley Fig Growers-arranged depending on the reason for return and the terms of sale.

- Credits and timing.
- After inspection and reconciliation, Valley Fig Growers will issue a credit memo (or other agreed adjustment) within thirty (30) business days.
- Credits will be applied against open invoices unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Return deadline. All return requests must be submitted no later than June 30, 2026, and approved returns must be received no later than July 31, 2026, unless Valley Fig Growers agrees otherwise in writing.
