Date Syrup Concentrate

Date Syrup Concentrate, also known as silan, has been used in the Middle East as a sweetener for a very long time. Date Syrup Concentrate, substitute for sugar, is a healthier option for making baked goods refined sugar free.  Sweeter than fig syrup, you can use California Dates to add color to baked goods as the caramel-colored syrup concentrate with a deep fruit flavor tastes like caramel too. Dried dates are chopped and boiled, then pureed and strained for a ready-to-use sweetener that is thick with a consistency similar to honey. Use it to replace liquid sweeteners like maple syrup, molasses, or honey in recipes. Dates are full of magnesium, potassium, antioxidants and other trace minerals too.

A multifunctional ingredient for baked products, Date Syrup Concentrate is used as a sweetener, anti-staling agent—extending the shelf-life of bread and pies. It has a brix level of 70 Bx minimum. Certified kosher.

In the following sizes: 5-gallon, 55-gallon and 275-gallon containers, available in conventional and organic options.
