Goat cheese is sold in a variety of sizes, including both 11- and 12-ounce logs. Either size can be used in this recipe.
Herbed Goat Cheese and California Fig Spread
Herbed Goat Cheese Spread with California Figs is so versatile. This spreadable goat cheese is great on finger sandwiches or stuff chicken breasts with it.
Servings 12 people
- 1 log goat cheese
- 3 tbsp milk
- 1 tbsp fresh chives minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
- 2 tsp fresh thyme minced
- 1 cup Blue Ribbon Orchard Choice or Sun-Maid California Figs stemmed and minced
- salt and pepper
- Process the goat cheese, milk, chives, olive oil and thyme in a food processor until smooth, about 1 minute. Transfer to a serving bowl and stir in figs, season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve with crackers or a thinly sliced baguette.
